Vehicle struck

An unknown person hit a parked car at Cooks Nursery & Trim while moving the nursery’s truck Wednesday morning.

According to a Portland Police Department report, while moving the business’ 1993 Ford F350 at 235 W. Votaw St., a customer struck a parked 2003 Mitsubishi Galant, registered to David S. Hibbard, 7404 E. 300 South, Portland. When employees questioned the woman, she denied having driven the vehicle. Employees did not know the woman’s name, and she left before police arrived.

The Ford F350 is registered to Cook’s Nursery & Trim, Portland.

Damage in the 10:46 a.m. collision is estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.



Backing accident

A Portland woman hit a parked car with her vehicle while backing out of a driveway Wednesday afternoon.

Tammy J. Fisher, 51, 609 N. Pleasant St., was backing her 2015 Honda Civic out of her driveway when she struck a car parked on Pleasant Street near its intersection with North Street. The parked car, a 2015 Honda Civic, is registered to Linda S. Butler, 130 W. McNeil St., Portland.

Damage in the 4:36 p.m. accident is estimated to be less than $1,000.
