Intersection collision
Two vehicles were involved in a collision Saturday morning.
Joel R. Bowers, 30, Portland, told police he looked both ways before pulling out of the Walmart parking lot on Votaw Street and did not see Corbin P. Fox Ash, 26, Independence, Kentucky. Bowers proceeded into the intersection and Fox Ash could not stop his 2010 Ford Focus, registered to Lucille Skinner, Independence, from colliding with Bowers’ 2003 Cadillac CTS.
Damage in the 8:05 a.m. accident was estimated at $5,000 to $10,000.
Pulled out in front of
A Muncie man and Portland woman were involved in an accident Friday afternoon.
Nicholas S. Vanpelt, 31, was pulling out of ATI Forge on Wayne Street and because of the glare of the sun, he did not see Janice M. Schindler, 58, traveling south in a 2012 Ford Fiesta. Vanpelt struck Schindler’s vehicle with his 2005 Chevrolet Malibu.
Damage in the 4:34 p.m. accident was estimated at $1,000 to $2,500.
Deer hit
A Fort Recovery woman was involved in an accident with a deer Saturday night.
Linda S. Laycox, 58, Fort Recovery, was traveling east on U.S. 26 between county roads 700 East and 800 East when a deer entered the roadway, striking the passenger door of her 2008 Saturn VUE.
Estimated damage in the 8:19 p.m. accident was under $1,000.
