A Portland man reported his bicycle stolen Friday.
David Ireland, 101 S. Pierce St., Apartment 105, told Portland Police Department he heard a noise Friday morning between 2 and 3 a.m. When he went outside the next morning around 10 a.m., his green 26 inch Echo Terra bicycle was missing.
The investigation is ongoing.
Roll over crash
A Fort Recovery man was involved in a single-car accident Friday evening.
Matthew A. Kuess, 18, was driving west on county road 200 South near its intersection with county road 100 East when a vehicle approaching from the east went over into Kuess’ lane of travel. Kuess told Jay County Sheriff’s Office he was forced to send the 2006 Pontiac G6 he was driving into the north ditch to avoid striking the other car, then overcorrected and swerved into the south ditch. The Pontiac, registered to Robert Kuess, same address as driver, then rolled one and a half times. According to Kuess, the other vehicle did not stop.
Damage in the 5:12 p.m. accident is estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.
