Heroes made life/death difference
Letters to the editor
To the editor:
In dedication to all the emergency response/EMS in Jay County, the 911 dispatcher, our heroes from the fire department and anyone else involved I may have forgotten: We don’t give enough credit to these heroes that save lives every day.
I want to thank them for their quick response to the 911 call our granddaughter called in for her mother (our daughter) Angela Miller last Monday, June 19.
She severely sliced the top of her hand due to a freak accident which required quick thinking by our granddaughter Lindsay Myers, who immediately applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding and the wonderful help of the 911 operator to talk her through what else she needed to do.
Jay County EMS immediately rushed her to Ball Hospital, where she had to have emergency surgery to her hand.
Thanks to each and every one that helped in this emergency situation.
You all are true heroes, especially our granddaughter who literally saved her mother’s life.

Look it up
To the editor:
I am mildly amused and somewhat chagrined at the seeming controversy over the president’s behavior.
I suggest that you consult a Funk and Wagnall’s and look up the word: “demagogue.”
For those of you who are unfamiliar with either “Funk ands Wagnall’s” or “demagogue,” just Google them both. I believe you will find the information therein enlightening.
