We are not on different planets

Letters to the Editor

To the editor:

Relax, Jack.

We are definitely not on different planets. It was just one ballot item, and we were really only given two options.

I was a full-time student for eight years in seven colleges where 90 percent of the professors openly scorned anything other than Democrat ideology. Every newspaper to which I have subscribed — including yours — did the same. Hollywood and television also.

I guess it is because I am so easily swayed that the Russians were able to dupe me into voting for Him, not Her.

Or maybe it is just this simple. Suppose we could sum up everything about a person’s values, character, prejudices, personality and ethics. If I weigh my considered evaluation of His total package, even if I were to accept your highest estimation of Hers, I would still choose Him.

It is possible that the balance scale on the above measure just barely tipped for me at 51-49, and for you it registered 49-51, but that’s how democracy — and life — works. We were obligated to choose between just those two.

It really all boils down to this. Looking closely at each one’s demonstrated vision for the future of America, I applaud His and dislike Hers.

Why can’t we all still be friends?

I am Roger Domingo, and I stand by this message.
