Felony arrests
Theft
A Marion man was arrested early Sunday morning for theft and criminal trespass.
Donald J. Weesner, 20, 427 N. Adams St., was arrested on preliminary charges of theft by receiving stolen property, a Level 6 felony and criminal trespass, a class A misdemeanor.
Weesner was booked at 1:43 a.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held there on a $4,500 bond.
Probation violation
A New Castle man was arrested Friday afternoon for violating his probation.
Derek J. Childs, 50, 720 S. 15th St. Apartment 3, was arrested on preliminary charges of probation violation, stemming from a previous conviction for nonsupport of a dependent child, a Level 6 felony.
Childs was booked at 1:58 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held there on a $1,000 bond.
