Blood drive had 94 donors

The American Red Cross held an Indiana Fallen Officer Blood Drive on Tuesday, sponsored by Jay County Sheriff’s Office. There were 94 donors.

Giving in honor of the fallen were Ruben Vela Jr., Dwane Ford, Robert Sours and Mitch Sutton, of the Jay County Sheriff’s Office, John Knipp for Jay County Extension office, and Josh Stephenson of the Portland Police Department.

Earning gallon awards were Carla Pogue — 8 gallons, Jill Hemmelgarn, — 12 gallons, John Clem — 2 gallons, John Knipp — 15 gallons, and Troy Atkinson — 2 gallons.

Also giving were Franklin Hogle, Tom Clutter, Jackie Spencer, Elizabeth Schoenlein, Ernest Schoenlein, Sam Grubb, Michael Schmidt, Jeffery Upp, Joyce Eldridge, Marlene Runyon, Billy Sipe, Angela Fisher, Skyler Fisher and Amanda Hartman.
