Fined and sentenced
Casey D. Shawver, 23, 720 E. 300 South, Portland, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana, enhanced to a Class A misdemeanor — Sentenced to six months in Jay County Jail with all but two days suspended and given two days credit for one day already served. Assessed $183 in court costs, ordered to pay a $200 drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee, a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse fee and was placed on formal probation for six months.
Shawver was also found in violation of the conditions of his probation stemming from a previous conviction for possession of marijuana, and was sentenced to an additional 178 days of the 180 days sentenced originally imposed. He will serve the 172 day sentence on electronically monitored home detention.
Tiffany S. Douglas, 28, 408 S. 17th St., New Castle, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and driving while suspended, a Class A infraction — Sentenced to 180 days in Jay County Jail, with all but two days suspended and given two days credit for one day already served. She was assessed $183.50 in court costs, ordered to pay a $200 drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee, a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse Program fee and was placed on formal probation for six months.
Derek L. Click, 23, 3010 N. Huntington Road, Marion, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor — Sentenced to 60 days in Jay County Jail, with all but 10 days suspended and given two days credit for one day already served. He was assessed $183.50 in court costs, ordered to pay a $200 drug and alcohol countermeasures fee, a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse Program fee, placed on formal probation for 12 months and the court recommended to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles that his license be suspended for 30 days.
Edward J. Grigsby, 39, 145 E. Lafayette St., Portland, pleaded guilty to theft, a Class A misdemeanor — Sentenced to six months in Jay County Jail and given two days credit for one day already served. He was assessed $183 in court costs.
Travis M. Clem, 38, 944 W. Main St., Portland, pleaded guilty to battery resulting in bodily injury — Sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail, with all but two days suspended and given two days credit for one day already served. He was fined $100, assessed $183 in court costs and placed on formal probation for nine months.
Christopher S. Robbins, 35, 527 Blackford Ave., Dunkirk, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor — Sentenced to 60 days in Jay County Jail, with all but two days suspended and given two days credit for one day already served. She was assessed $183 in court costs, ordered to pay a $200 alcohol and drug countermeasures fee, a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse Program fee and placed on formal probation for 12 months.

Walker, 28, 770 W. 7th St., Portland, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor — Sentenced to 180 days in Jay County Jail, with all but 16 days suspended and given 16 days credit for eight days already served. He was assessed $183 in court costs, ordered to pay a $200 drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee, a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse Program fee and was placed on formal probation for six months.

He was fined $25, assessed $183.50 in court costs, ordered to pay a $200 drug and alcohol countermeasures fee, a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse Program fee and placed on formal probation for 12 months. The court recommended to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles that his license be suspended for 30 days.
