Show pride in Pennville
To the editor:
Pennville Elementary School will have a carnival April 29.
I encourage all former students, educators and supporters to help make this a carnival to remember. You can donate items for the door prizes, attend and help with a carnival booth, or donate a baked item for the "cake walk.” The official donation form can be seen on Facebook at the "Pennville High School Alumni and Friends" page.
Do you remember going to the carnival?
I do; it must have been in the early seventies. The fortune teller booth with the "fish" fortunes and the cake walk were two of my favorite places to be.
People have no idea that when I see them going about their normal lives in today's world I recall what they wore to school, how kind they were or how talented they were at Pennville High School.
Let's give the students at Pennville Elementary a demonstration of who we were and are.
Thank you.
