Wire caught
A truck got caught on a wire Wednesday afternoon in Portland, pulling over a light pole.
Marc A. Riggins, 60, 8109 S. Center Road, Muncie, told Portland Police Department he was pulling out onto Blaine Pike near its intersection with Third Street when the truck he was driving caught an overhanging wire and pulled over a pole, causing it to break. Riggins was driving a 2017 FRT 108, registered to the Indiana Department of Administration, 601 W. McCarty St., Suite 125, Indianapolis. Indiana Michigan Power owns the light pole.
Damage in the 2:41 p.m. accident is estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
