To the editor:
Portland Fire Department would like to take this opportunity to thank all the local fire departments, including Southwest Mercer (Fort Recovery) and Rescue 19, for participating in the vehicle extrication day on May 13.
We would also like to thank W&M Manufacturing for the use of their parking lot, Dollar General and Jay Emergency Medical Service for medical standby.
A huge thank you goes out to Barnett’s Auto Parts and Wrecker Service for providing all the vehicles used in the training exercise and also for demonstrating the abilities of their equipment.
