Struck on 67
Two Portland women were involved in a traffic collision Saturday morning.
Deolla J. Bond, 76, was traveling south on Indiana 67 near Penn Street and noticed traffic was stopped. When she tried to brake, her 2007 Ford Fusion slid into a 2003 Volvo JSI driven by Amy J. Shaneyfelt, 40. Damage in the 11:25 a.m. accident was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
Vehicles collide
A Farmland woman and Portland man were involved in a traffic collision Friday evening.
Timothy J. Devoss, 65, was traveling west on Indiana 67, approaching Charles Street, in his 2004 Ford Ranger registered to Charlotte Devoss. He was unaware traffic was stopped and his vehicle struck the rear of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Lori A. Cantrell. The Silverado is registered to Mike Albert LTD, Cincinnati. Damage in the 6:04 p.m. accident was estimated at $1,000 to $2,500.
Deer hit
A Portland man was in an accident involving a deer at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Chester D. Hopper, 68, was traveling east on Indiana 67 near county road 1250 West when a deer ran into the roadway. He could not avoid striking the deer with his 2001 Honda CRV.
Damage was estimated at $2,500 to $5,000.
