From the moment Cassidy Rammel stepped on the court as a freshman for the Cougars, she has made an impact.
It resulted in earningall-Crossroads League honors as a sophomore.
In the first third of her junior year, she’s proving the honor she earned was well-deserved.
Rammel, a 2015 Fort Recovery High School graduate, was the kills leader for the University of Saint Francis volleyball team Friday in a 3-1 loss to Huntington University.
She had 17 kills and sevendigs, and helped on a pair of blocks for the Cougars (3-11, 2-2 Crossroads League). The junior added a dozen kills and 10 digs with one assist in a 3-1 win Saturday against Grace College.
Kylie Osborne

Posted double-digit kill totals in three matches recently for the Anderson University volleyball team.
The sophomore had a team-high 11 kills with a pair of digs in a 3-0 loss to William Woods on Saturday in the Rose-Hulman Invitational. She added 10 kills, eight digs, three aces and a pair of blocks in a 3-2 win over Monmouth College on Friday at RHIT.
She tallied 11 kills, 18 digs and an ace for the Ravens (4-6) on Tuesday in a 3-1 loss to IU-East. She also had four kills and eight digs in a 3-0 defeat Friday to NorthCentral, and totaled nine kills, 10 digs and five aces in a 3-1 victory Saturday against Illinois College.
Kendra Siefring

Reached 10-plus kills in consecutive matches for the University of Saint Francis volleyball team.
She had 10 kills with three digs, a solo block and four block assists in a 3-1 loss Friday to Huntington University. She added 11 kills with five digs, one ace and assisted on a block in the Cougars’ 3-1 win over Grace on Saturday.
Ava Kunkler
Jay County – 2016
Also played for the University of Saint Francis volleyball team as it split a pair of matches recently.
She had eight kills and two digs as the Cougars fell to Grace College on Saturday, 3-1.
The sophomore also had seven kills, two digs and assisted on a pair of blocks during a 3-1 loss on Friday against Huntington.
Kyra Braun
Jay County – 2016
Opened her season by earning three consecutive doubles and singles victories for the Trine University women’s tennis team.
She joined Thunder freshman Katie Simon for an 8-3 win in their No. 3 doubles match on Sept. 7 in the season opener against Grace College. Braun then played a singles match, winning 6-3, 6-2 as the Thunder lost 6-3.
The duo won 8-6 as the Thunder fell to Wittenburg University 7-2 on Saturday. She accounted for the only other TU win, a 3-6, 6-3, 10-6 victory at No. 5 singles.
Braun and Simon won Sunday against Earlham College, 8-3, and Braun won her No. 5 singles contest 6-0, 6-0.
Eric Hemmelgarn
Jay County – 2014
Made one tackle for the University of Saint Francis football team Saturday in a 68-23 win over University of Saint Francis (Illinois).
The senior assisted on a tackle with Eric Dunten following a 2-yard gain by Michael Johnson on the team’s second drive of the game.
The NAIA top-ranked Cougars (2-0), who are defending national champions, scored 34 points during the second quarter to break the game open.
Abigail Scott
Jay County – 2014
Competed for the Indiana Wesleyan University women’s cross country team Friday in the IWU Twilight Classic.
Scott was 57th overall, crossing the finish line in 21 minutes, 12.5 seconds. She was 12th on the team for the Wildcats, who were second in the nine-team meet with 83 points. Taylor won with 32 points.
Travis Sutter
Fort Recovery – 2017
Made his collegiate debut for the Ohio Northern University cross country team in the Back to the Nature Preserve Open on Sept. 1 at Tiffin University.
Sutter finished with a time of 20 minutes, 31.5 seconds, which was 36th overall and 13th on the team.
The freshman was 124th overall in 28:01.5 during his first 8K race, the Calvin Knight Invitational on Saturday.

Ran for the Ohio Northern women’s cross country team on Saturdayin the Calvin Knight Invitational on Saturday.
Sutter was 145th in 21 minutes, 22.4 seconds to finish 16th on the team for the Polar Bears, who were seventh out 23 teams with 197 points. Grand Valley State University won with 63 points.

South Adams – 2015
Scored for the Indiana Tech women’s cross country team on Saturday in the Calvin Knight Invitational at Calvin College.
She placed 115th in 20:52.6 as the No. 5 runner for the Warriors, who placed 10th with 314 points in their season-opening meet.

Made a contribution to the Capital University volleyball team init’s 3-1 win over Pikeville on Saturday in the Earlham College Tournament.
The sophomore, who moved from setter as a freshman to right side as a sophomore, tallied one kill on 11 attacks against Pikeville. She also assisted on one block for the Crusaders (4-5).
