Possession
A Geneva woman pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to a drug possession charge.
Angel D. Gannon, 28, 217 E. Lake Road, Apartment 14, pleaded guilty to possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony. She was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail with all but 90 days suspended and given four days credit for two days already served. She will serve the remaining 86 days of her sentence on electronically monitored home detention.
She was fined $1, assessed $185 in court costs, ordered to pay a $200 drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee and placed on probation for nine months.
Gannon also pleaded guilty in a separate case to possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony.
She was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail to be served concurrent to the sentence from previous charge, with all but four days suspended and given four days credit for two days already served. She was fined $1, assessed $185 in court costs, ordered to pay a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse Program fee and a $200 drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee and was placed on formal probation for 11 months. As a part of a plea agreement, an additional charge of unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony, was dismissed.
OWI
A Portland woman pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to driving while intoxicated.
Jody R. Webster, 36, 728 W. Race St., pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a passenger less than 18 years of age, a Level 6 felony. She was sentenced to serve 18 months in Jay County Jail with all but 20 days suspended and given 12 days credit for six days already served. Webster was assessed $185.50 in court costs, ordered to pay a $200 drug and alcohol countermeasures fee and a $400 Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse Program fee and, placed on formal probation for 16 months to be served consecutive to the probation imposed in a previous case. The court recommended to Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles that her license be suspended for seven months.

A Portland man pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to a drug-related charge.
Thomas H. Romine, 32, 615 W. Main St., pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony. He was sentenced to serve one year in Jay County Jail with all but 30 days suspended and given two days credit for one day already served. He was assessed $185.50 in court costs and placed on formal probation for 11 months.
Forfeiture
A Muncie man pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to driving after forfeiting his license.
Michael T. Paille, 47, 3805 W. Pettigrew Drive, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle after forfeiture of license for life, a Level 5 felony, and operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent of 0.15 percent or more, a Class A misdemeanor.
For the felony charge, he was sentenced to serve four years in the Indiana Department of Correction and was given credit for 59 days already served. He was also assessed $185.50 in court costs.
For the misdemeanor charge, he was sentenced to serve one year in Indiana Department of Correction concurrent to the felony sentence and was given credit for 59 days already served. He was ordered to pay a $200 drug and alcohol countermeasures fee.
Probation violation
A Portland man was sentenced in Jay Circuit Court for violating the terms of his probation.
Izaha M. Baker, 19, 1237 N. U.S. 27, Lot 113, was found in violation of the conditions of his probation stemming from a previous conviction for rape, a Level 3 felony. He was sentenced to serve one year in the Indiana Department of Correction and given credit for time served since Aug. 22.
