To the editor:
Just an FYI to those who may be having a procedure/surgery or even going to the doctor’s office — you may not be covered.
I found out the day before going in that IU Health Jay is not in my network, yet. So my appointments will be full price out of network. No one informed me until then. So I will probably get a bill for full price for my office visit and I won’t be having anything else done until pre-authorized or IU Health Jay gets “in network.”
So, you might want to check with your insurance company to see what is up first before you go.
