Local notes

Swim gearing up for season

The Jay County Summer Swim Team is gearing up for the 2018 season.

The squad will hold an evaluation night from 4 to 5 p.m. May 7 at Jay County High School.

The first practice will be May 8, during which schedules and registration information will be available. Practice for kids 11-and-older will be from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m., and practice for those 10-and-younger will be from 5 to 6 p.m.
