Mandy benefit set for Feb. 16

The third It’s a Mandy Thing Memorial Benefit in memory of Mandy Theurer will be held Friday, Feb. 16, at Jay Community Center.

Mandy’s favorite meal of chick and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll and drink will be served from 5 to 7 p.m., with dine-in and carry-out available. Tickets for the meal are $8 for ages 6 and older and are available at Upperkut Salon and Spa

The benefit auction will start at 7:15 p.m., with auctioneering services provided by Loy’s Auctioneering and Real Estate. All money raised has been and will be given back to the community by way of college scholarships, hygiene backs for middle school students and the Jay County Cancer Walk, to name just a few.

Mandy, a lifelong resident of Jay County, passed away in February 2015 in an auto accident.

This even is organized by family and friends of Mandy not only to remember her but to help others in Mandy’s memory.
