Jay County missed its first two shots of the fourth quarter and Heritage was 12-of-14 from the free-throw line in the period. Game notes: This is the sixth meeting all time between Jay County and Heritage, with the latter holding a 4-1 edge in the series, including both meetings last season ... This game has ACAC championship implications; a Heritage win secures a conference sweep (it was tournament champions too). A Jay County victory guarantees it will at least share the regular season conference title. JCHS can win the outright title by beating Heritage and Woodlan on Feb. 20 ... Jay County’s defensive average of 39.0 points per game ranks No. 1 in Class 4A and fifth overall. JCHS also averages 45.8 points per game offensively. Heritage scores 44.8 points per game and allows 37.07 points per game, which is second in Class 2A and No. 2 overall as well ... John Harrell’s website predicts Jay County to win, 43-39.
