Local notes

Optional practices begin Tuesday

The East Jay Middle School cross country team will host optional practices beginning Tuesday.

Practices will be from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Hudson Family Park and will run until the beginning of the school year.

Athletes must have a physical on file to participate.
