Syringe possession
A Portland woman pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony.
Kindra McClellan, 29, 440 W. Arch St., Apartment 2, was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail with all but 32 days suspended and given two days credit for one day served. Her remaining time will be served upon completion of the Cross Road Christian Recovery Center Program. If McClellan does not complete the program, she will serve 60 days in jail. She was assessed court costs of $185 and placed on formal probation for 10 months, concurrent with the probation for a separate charge of unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony, tried in Randolph County Superior Court.
