'Nasty' race pales in comparison

To the editor:

I had to laugh at the obvious liberal bias in the AP story headlined “Primary dubbed nastiest in nation.”

The AP blamed the nastiness on Trump’s “harsh immigration rhetoric and penchant for personal insults.”

There is not a mention of the party of division and personal insults.

Obama called me a “Bitter American” and Hillary called me “deplorable.” According to the Democratic National Committee, prominent Dems, much of the left-wing media and liberals, Trump, myself and most Republicans and conservatives are racist, xenophobic, Islamophobic, Hispanophobic, homophobic, sexist and all around nasty haters. Because I belong to the NRA I am a murderer. Because I own a semi-auto rifle I must be crazy. I am also a science denier and stupid. I hate the earth and want to pollute it and I want to “throw grandma off a cliff” and “starve school children.”

By their logic I must hate my wife and she must hate herself. Trump is crazy and stupid. Reagan and Bush were just stupid.

And did I mention we were told from the floor of the Senate that Republicans want to kill poor people? There were even some Democrat campaigns that claimed Republicans want to bring back lynching.

The White House Correspondents Association dinner was just another example of how low the left will go. The nasty words in this campaign don’t come close to the insults I listed above. But the hate-Trump hypocrites at the AP seem to have forgotten about them.
