Keep turbines out of the county

Letters to the Editor

To the editor:

No wind farms in Jay County.

I am in Richland Township and moved to our home in the country more than 10 years ago. We moved here for peace and solitude and the beauty of the countryside. Unobstructed views and fresh air.

Our biggest concerns are the health issues created by wind farms. I suffer from Multiple Sclerosis among other auto-immune disorders and am on disability. I cannot physically, mentally or financially afford an uptick of my symptoms or/and exacerbation that will land me in the hospital. My husband has had several craniotomies with many tumors that cannot be reached without compromising his quality of life or life itself. The last thing we need is turbines that create ringing in ears, headaches, lack of concentration, vertigo, and sleep disruption just to name a few.

Who will pay our medical expenses? Who will compensate for pain, suffering and loss of solitude? We homeowners receive no benefits.

We did not know about the turbines until a fellow neighbor found them on their property without permission during a survey.

No wind turbines in Jay County.
