Window damaged
A Portland man reported damage to his garage Wednesday.
William Herriford, who lives in the west 200 block of Lincoln Street, told Portland Police Department someone had broken his garage window and damaged the siding. The estimated damage was $200.
Theft
A Portland woman reported a theft from her vehicle Wednesday.
Carol D. Stump, who lives in the west 200 block of Lincoln Street, told Portland Police Department a pack of cigarettes was missing from her car. She noticed it was gone around 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Man injured
A Pennville man was injured Tuesday evening when his moped crashed.
Brent L. Mann, 47, was driving south on Industrial Park Drive near its intersection with Lafayette Street when the rear tire of his 2012 Honda moped blew out and the moped crashed. Mann sustained incapacitating head injuries and was transported to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Damage in the 10:34 p.m. accident is estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
Motorcycle, car collision
Two Portland residents were involved in a vehicle collision Wednesday evening.
Timothy C. Shultz, 65, was driving his 1982 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle north on Meridian Street. Ramonda K. Stanford, 51, who was in the driveway to Richards Restaurant at 1615 N. Meridian St., drove her 2007 Chevrolet Aveo out into the road in front of Shultz. The vehicles collided, causing an estimated $1,000 to $2,500 in damage.
The accident occurred at 5:06 p.m.
