Last week at Heritage: Jay County rushed for nearly 500 yards in a 42-20 victory over Heritage in the regular season finale. Ryan Schlechty totaled 195 yards with three touchdowns, Trey Castillo had 133 yards and a score while Michael Schlechty tallied 122 yards and a TD.
Season leaders: Passing — Parker Grimes – 75-of-127 passing for 1,322 yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. Rushing — Michael Schlechty – 85 carries for 653 yards and eight touchdowns. Receiving — Ryan Schlechty – 18 catches for 417 yards and six touchdowns. Defense — R. Schlechty – 88 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four interceptions and one sack.

Last week vs. DeKalb: Alex Wertman scored the game’s only touchdown in the second quarter as Leo concluded the regular season with a 7-0 win over DeKalb. Peyton Wall led the Lions with 56 rushing yards and AJ Restivo threw for 65 yards.
Season leaders: Passing — AJ Restivo – 79-of-135 for 1,107 yards and nine touchdowns. Rushing — Alex Wertman – 169 carries for 68 yards and nine touchdowns. Receiving — Peyton Wall – 19 catches for 393 yards and three touchdowns.
Last meeting: Jay County managed just 120 yards of offense in a 42-7 loss Oct. 10, 2014, in Portland. It was Leo’s final season in the Allen County Athletic Conference. Levi Stant scored on a 32-yard pass from Joey Link in the final minutes of the game.
Game notes: This is the third meeting between Jay County and Leo. Leo won both previous games, 59-6 in 2010 and 42-7 in 2014 ... The winner advances to the semifinal against either Logansport (4-5)?or sixth-ranked Bishop Dwenger (8-1) ... John Harrell’s website predicts Leo to win 38-17, and Calpreps.com lists the Lions as 14-point favorites.
