Last week vs. Southern Wells: Jay County scored 27 points in the second quarter and had 41 straight points in a 51-19 victory over Southern Wells. Michael Schlechty scored three rushing TDs as the Patriots gained 301 yards on the ground.
Season leaders: Passing — Parker Grimes – 22-of-35 for 494 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Rushing — Ryan Schlechty – 20 carries for 174 yards and two TDs.
Receiving — R. Schlechty – six catches for 160 yards and two TDs. Defense — R. Schlechty – 28 tackles, five tackles for loss.

Last week at Lapel: Adams Central scored 14 points in each of the first three quarters of a 49-21 road win over the Lapel?Bulldogs, the first road game of the season for the Jets.
Season leaders: Passing — Parker Bates – 20-of-34 for 276 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Rushing — Logan Macklin – 43 carries for 329 yards and four TDs.
Receiving — Chase Peterson – 10 receptions for 144 yards and two TDs. Defense — Jake McCullough – 31 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack.
Last season: Adams Central totaled nearly 500 yards on the ground in a 70-42 win in Portland. Logan Macklin had 226 yards and three touchdowns while Drew Schultz powered for 163 yards and three scores. Michael Schlechty had 97 yards and a trio of TDs for Jay County.
Game notes: This is the fifth meeting all-time between Jay County and Adams Central, with Jay County winless in the series ... Adams Central finished third in the most recent coaches poll, and was seventh in the AP?poll ... The Jets, who are playing their first Allen County Athletic Conference game of the season, are defending conference champions after going 6-0 in league play last year. They are 16-2 in ACAC games over the last three years, with their only losses to eventual conference champion Woodlan in both 2015 and 2016.
