Possession, maintaining
Three Dunkirk residents were arrested Monday evening on several drug-related charges.
Portland Police Department conducted a search warrant at 1146 S. Indiana 1, Dunkirk. Arrested were Jessica A. Bennett, 45, and Justus P. Folkerth, 25, both residents of the address, and Nathaniel K. Cox, 27, 506 S. Layne Drive.
Cox and Folkerth were each preliminarily charged with maintaining a common nuisance, unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of a narcotic drug, Level 6 felonies, and possession of paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanors.
Cox was booked at 5:28 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held on a $4,500 bond. Folkerth was booked at 5:27 p.m. and is also being held on a $4,500 bond.
Bennett was preliminarily charged with maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
She was booked at 5:35 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held on a $4,000 bond.
Battery
A Portland woman was arrested on a battery charge Monday evening.
April L. Smith, 35, 5727 S. 200 West, was arrested on the preliminary charge of domestic battery, a Level 6 felony.
She was booked at 7:14 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held on a $3,000 bond.
