Trinity Lutheran celebrating 150th

A sesquicentennial is something to celebrate.
Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Recovery will celebrate its 150th anniversary Sunday.
The service for current and former members will begin at 10:30 a.m. Lunch and social time will follow.
Trinity Lutheran, 301 S. Wayne St., is part of the Wabash Valley Cooperative of churches.
To perform
JD McPherson will be in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at Canan Commons, 500 S. Walnut St., Muncie, as part of the 2019 Muncie Three Trails Music Series.
McPherson is known a style that stems from 1940s rhythm and blues and ’50s rock ‘n’ roll. He debuted with the album “Signs and Signifiers” in 2010 and won an Indpendent Music Award in 2012 for Best Roots Album.
Jennie Devoe of Muncie will open the show.

Ivy Tech Community College will host an Express Enrollment event at its campuses from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 10.
Ivy Tech staff will help students register for classes, discuss financial aid and meet with academic advisors.

Take a trip
The Arthur & Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion in Berne is offering a bus trip for those 55 and older.
Participants will travel to North Webster Lake to ride the Dixie Boat on Aug. 22. The cost is $15, with the boat tour and lunch included.
