Mass shootings must be stopped

To the editor:
Ever since the Parkland, Florida, shooting happened last February, all anyone can talk about is how the guns and the gun laws are at fault.
They blame the NRA.
It’s not the guns, it’s the people.
The psychos who get their hands on highly dangerous guns don’t go through the proper paperwork from the government.
We have a constitutional right to bear arms, and the Democrats are trying to take that away from us.
Maybe instead of taking our guns away from us, you should try to stop these senseless shootings. Two mass shootings in one day can’t ever happen again.
