Edna Stout, age 86, of rural Portland passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019, in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare.
She was born in Portland on April 28, 1933, the daughter of Raymond and Marilla (Ferner) Peden. She was married Sept. 23, 1951, to Leon Stout and he died on Jan. 28, 1996. She was retired from CTS in Berne after over 40 years. She was a 1951 Portland High School graduate and member of Fairview Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Lonnie Stout (wife: Jenny) of Portland, Chad Stout of Portland and Shane Stout (wife: Amy) of Montague, Massachusetts; one daughter, Cindy Stewart (husband: Greg) of Portland; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Hines presiding. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Fort Recovery. Visitation will be Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.
