Kenney to fight Feb. 15

Casey Kenney is ready to get back into the octagon again.

Kenney, a 2009 Jay County High School graduate, is slated to take on Merab Dvalishvili as part of UFC Fight Night at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, on Feb. 15, The Body Lock first reported this week.

It will be Kenney’s third fight in the UFC after winning back-to-back unanimous decisions over Manny Bermudez and Ray Borg. He has won six fights in a row since his lone professional loss, a split decision to Adam Antolin during Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series on Aug. 29, 2017.

Dvalishvili has a 9-4 professional record and is 2-2 in the UFC. His most recent fight was a unanimous decision victory over Brad Katona at UFC?Fight Night 151 on May 4.

Kenney (13-1-1), who is ranked 14th in the UFC’s bantamweight division, will have had almost six months off since beating previously undefeated Bermudez on Aug. 17.

According to The Body Lock, light heavyweights Cory Anderson and Jan Blachowicz will headline the event in Rio Rancho.
