Janet Franks-Perez

Janet Franks-Perez, age 54, a resident of Bluffton and a former Portland resident, passed away Friday, Feb.15, 2019, at her home.

She had worked at BRC, Pak-A-Sak and Peyton’s in Bluffton. She enjoyed camping and attending swap meets in the area.

Janet was born Aug. 21, 1964, in Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of Harry Franks and Shirley (Witchie) Pavey.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Teresa Shultz, Pam Waters and Melissa Brown.

Survivors include:

Two sons — Dylan Franks, Bluffton, Indiana, and Jonathon Franks (wife: Lauren), Zanesville, Indiana

Five sisters — Cathy Bruss (husband: Dennis) Salamonia, Indiana; Donna Eley (husband: Dan), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Peggy Cain (husband: Scott) Tucson, Arizona, Jean Gutknecht, Houston, Texas, and Michelle Roser, Portland, Indiana

Three brothers — Dean Franks, California, Phillip Pavey II, Illinois, and Matthew Pavey (wife: Krystal), Lafayette, Indiana

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Dave McClellen will officiate the services. Burial will follow at a later date in Lawndale Cemetery east of Ridgeville, Indiana.
