Comedy, magic show scheduled

Comedy and magic will combine in Adams County this weekend.

Jim Barron, a comedian, magician and illusionist, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Swiss Village in Berne.

Barron, who is also a radio personality with WBCL Radio Network, has more than 35 years of performing experience.

Fun with faeries

Minnetrista in Muncie will host “Faeries, Sprites & Lights” July 25 through 27. The event will include a variety of events, including faerie tea parties at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 27.

Holding drive

Dunkirk Police Department is collecting shoes for children in need. 

Shoes can be donated now through Aug. 1 at the police department at 130 S. Main St., Dunkirk City Hall at 131 S. Main St. and CVS, 1130 S. Main St., Dunkirk. Sizes needed include girls’ sizes 12, 12.5, 1, 2, 3 and 5 and boys’ sizes 1, 1.5, 3 and 4.

The shoes will be donated to school children in the Dunkirk area in need of footwear.
