Dealing
A Bluffton man was sentenced to prison for a drug dealing charge.
Rodney D. Adams II, 29, 6663 S. 750 East, pleaded guilty June 10 in Jay Circuit Court to dealing methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony. He was recently sentenced to 15 years in the Indiana Department of Correction with five years suspended, to be served on formal probation. He was also given credit for time served from Dec. 22 to Dec. 24, Dec. 26 to Feb. 1 and from March 24 to April 19. He was assessed court costs of $185 and ordered to pay a substance abuse program fee of $400 and a drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee of $200. The court will consider modifying Adams’ sentence if he completes a substance abuse treatment program. Charges of theft, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Maintaining
A Montpelier woman pleaded guilty to a drug-related charge in Jay Superior Court.
Rhonda L. Kershner, 44, 232 E. Huntington St., Montpelier, pleaded guilty to maintaining a common nuisance — controlled substance, a Level 6 felony. She was sentenced to Jay County Jail for one year with all but 66 days suspended and was given 66 days credit for 33 days served. She was assessed court costs of $185, placed on formal probation for 299 days and ordered to pay the Thinking For Good program fee of $150. Charges of possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
OWI
A Portland man was sentenced to 18 months in jail for a drunk driving charge.
Chandler C. Stout, 27, 633 W. 200 North, pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to operating a vehicle while intoxicated with an alcohol concentration equivalent of 0.15 percent or more, enhanced to a Level 6 felony because of a prior conviction. He was sentenced to 18 months in Jay County Jail and given six days credit for three days served. He was assessed court costs of $185.50 and ordered to pay an alcohol and drug countermeasures fee of $200. A charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Level 6 felony, was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Battery, invasion
A Muncie man pleaded guilty to two charges in Jay Superior Court.
Kyle M. Wire, 24, 5900 W. 350 North, Lot 75, pleaded guilty to battery by bodily waste, a Level 6 felony. He was sentenced to Jay County Jail for one year with all but 60 days suspended and was given 60 days credit for 30 days served. He was assessed court costs of $185 and placed on formal probation for 10 months. Charges of resisting law enforcement and two counts of domestic battery, Class A misdemeanors, were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
In a separate case, Wire pleaded guilty to invasion of privacy. He was sentenced to Jay County Jail for one year with all but 88 days suspended and was given 88 days credit for 44 days served. He was placed on formal probation for 277 days and assessed court costs of $185.
In two separate cases, charges of possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor, and invasion of privacy, a Class A misdemeanor, were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Sentence modified
A Dunkirk man’s sentence was modified recently in Jay Superior Court.
David D. Street, 48, 350 E. Center St., pleaded guilty on Jan. 15 to operating a motor vehicle after forfeiture of license for life, a Level 5 felony. He was originally sentenced to 18 months of electronically monitored home detention. His sentence was amended recently to be served in the Indiana Department of Correction, and Street was given credit for 187 days served.
Theft
A Portland woman pleaded guilty in Jay Superior Court to theft, a Level 6 felony.
Doddie A. Snow, 46, 906 N. Franklin St., was sentenced to Jay County Jail for one year with all but 40 days suspended and was given 40 days credit for 20 days served. She was assessed court costs of $185 and placed on formal probation for 325 days. As part of a plea agreement, a charge of criminal trespass, a Class A misdemeanor, was dismissed.
Invasion, violations
An Alexandria man pleaded guilty to a charge in Jay Superior Court and was found in violation of his probation.
Brandon P. Nunez, 24, 112 E. Pierce St., pleaded guilty to invasion of privacy, a Level 6 felony. He was sentenced to Jay County Jail for one year with all but 92 days suspended and was given 92 days credit for 46 days served. He was assessed court costs of $185, placed on formal probation for nine months and ordered to pay a moral recognition therapy fee of $150.
In a separate case, Nunez was found in violation of his probation on the original charge of invasion of privacy, a Class A misdemeanor. He was ordered to serve an additional 30 days of the sentence imposed on Feb. 28 and was given 30 days credit for 15 days served.

Habitual violator
A woman pleaded guilty in Jay Circuit Court to operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic violator, a Level 6 felony.
Patricia A. Egner, 52, whose last known address was in Columbia City, was sentenced to two years in Jay County Jail with 18 months suspended. She was given credit for time served from April 25 to 27 and from May 17. Egner was assessed court costs of $185, placed on formal probation for 18 months and ordered to pay a substance abuse program fee of $400. Charges of operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent of 0.15 percent or more, a Class A misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor, were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Possession
A Portland man pleaded guilty in Jay Circuit Court to a drug possession charge.
Anthony D. Chambers, 32, 1295 W. 150 South, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony. His sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 14.
Possession, theft
A Portland man pleaded guilty to two charges in Jay Superior Court.
Nickolaus M. Roberts, 31, 906 S. Shank St., pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony. He was sentenced to Jay County Jail for one year with all but 90 days suspended and given 56 days credit for 28 days served. Roberts was assessed court costs of $185, placed on formal probation for nine months and ordered to pay a drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee of $200 and a substance abuse program fee of $400.
In a separate case, Roberts pleaded guilty to theft, a Class A misdemeanor. He was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail for one year with all but 30 days suspended, to be served concurrently with the previous charge, and was given 30 days credit for 15 days served. He was assessed court costs of $185 and placed on formal probation for nine months.
