Trials scheduled
Several trials were scheduled recently.
Brandon G. Wilburn, 34, 226 W. Washington St., Dunkirk, is facing charges of dealing methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony, and visiting a common nuisance, a Class B misdemeanor. His two-day jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 28.
John D. Forrester, 54, 120 E. Grandview Ave., Redkey, will have a two-day jury trial in Jay Circuit Court beginning Dec. 19. He has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, driving while suspended, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor.
Jason G. Setters, 54, 213 E. Lake Drive, Apartment 4, Geneva, is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Level 6 felony, possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. His jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 3 in Jay Superior Court.
Probation violation
A Winchester man was sentenced in Jay Superior Court for violating his probation.
Gage D. Daniels, 21, 627 S. Main St., was found in violation of his probation on the original charges of maintaining a common nuisance — controlled substance, a Level 6 felony, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor. He was ordered to serve an additional 74 days of the sentence imposed on Aug. 14 and was given 74 days credit for 37 days served. His probation was terminated unsuccessfully.
