Deer struck
A Portland woman hit a deer with her car early this morning, causing an estimated $5,000 to $10,000 in damage.
At 5:29 a.m., Angela D. Bentz, 52, was driving west on county road 200 North near its intersection with county road 400 East when a deer ran into the roadway. She was unable to avoid hitting it with her 2015 Honda Accord.
Mailbox damaged
A Portland man reported damage to his mailbox Tuesday.
Monte Dunlavy, who lives in the 800 block of Blaine Pike, told Portland Police Department his mailbox had been run over. Police determined the damage was caused by a vehicle collision Monday night, when Jessica L. Hunt of Winchester allegedly struck a motorcyclist before driving away.
