Theft
A Dunkirk man reported a theft of trees from his rural Jay County property.
Mike Bishop told Jay County Sheriff’s Office that someone had been cutting down trees on his property in the south 6000 block of Spooky Hollow Road. Three trees were missing and a fourth was cut up in small pieces on the side of the road.
Door damaged
A Portland man reported damage at his niece’s rental property Thursday.
Clyde Brady told Portland Police Department he went to check on the house located in the east 600 block of High Street and noticed the door had been kicked in. There was no other damage to the property, which is owned by Lezlie Blackford. The door was valued at $350.
