Thank you for benefit success

To the editor:

The fourth benefit fundraiser in memory of Mandy Theurer has come and gone but the results of that wonderful evening will be felt by many for months to come.

The outpouring of support from this community has been second to none, and we thank you.

We also want to thank all of the soup makers, the businesses and individuals who donated auction items, Display Craft, Tony Lennartz, the great team of Loy's Auctioneering, the Jay Community Center staff, members of Delta Theta Tau and everyone else who donated in any way.

Special thanks to family, friends and even the strangers who helped that day.

Due to the success of this event, donations will be given to the Jay County Walk Against Cancer, hygiene bags will be provided to middle school students and scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors. And the list will grow.

You will see who benefits, here, in the newspaper. Lastly, thank you for helping turn a tragedy into something good.
