Arts Festival set for May 19
The annual Arts Festival, the official launch to the Arts in the Parks program, is slated for noon to 4 p.m. May 19. It will be held at Arts Park at the northwest corner of Harrison and Walnut streets and the surrounding area.
The event will include a variety of games and art activities, including T-shirt spray painting and pot spinning. Local artists will have work on display, and food will be available.
Registration is already open for Arts in the Parks, which will offer classes beginning June 10.
The program for children ages 6 through 12 offers classes in dance, theatre and art. Classes are offered in Portland, Dunkirk, Pennville, Montpelier, Berne, Hartford City, Fort Recovery and other locations in Mercer County.
