Meeting is Wednesday
The Jay County High School football team will have a meeting for players and parents regarding the 2019 season on Wednesday.
The meeting, which will be at 5:30 p.m. in the JCHS commons and last about 45 minutes, will cover the summer calendar, information on practice pack and the safety of athletes.
It will also include the selection of team captains.

Swim coach needed
The Jay County Summer Swim Team is in need of an interim coach for the 2019 season.
Anyone interested is asked to submit a letter of interest.
Letters can be mailed to Portland Veterinary Clinic, Attn: Summer Swim, 1407 W. Votaw St., Portland.
Clinic will be in June
Jay County High School will host a tennis clinic from June 18 through 20 at the JCHS tennis courts.
Cost is $20 per person, with a $40 max per family. Participants who register before June 7 will receive a T-shirt.
The clinic, which will be taught by JCHS boys tennis coach Scott Miller, will be from 10 to 11 a.m. for those entering third through fifth grades, and from 10 a.m., to 11:30 a.m. for those entering sixth through ninth grade.
