Francis "Salty" Stults

Francis “Salty” Stults, age 93, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Portland on Aug. 25, 1926, the son of William and Mable (Miller) Stults. He was retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company after working there for several years.
He served in the U.S. Army in 1945-1946. He was a member of Jay Lodge #87 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Shrine, American Legion Post #211, Jay County Fair Board and a Lifetime Achievement Award winner. He was a founding member of Jay County High School Sports Boosters Club and Portland Summer Swim Team.
Surviving are one son, Mike Stults (companion: Tina Brenner) of Portland; four daughters, Mindy Kelly (husband: John) of Anderson, Marcie Vormohr (husband: Frank) of Portland, Maria Snow of Portland and Missy Bader (husband: Christian) of Portland; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren
Celebration of Life Services will be held Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, at 5 p.m. with Pastor Darrell Borders presiding. A Masonic service will also be held by Jay Lodge #87 F&AM as part of the memorial services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital.
