HUNTINGTON — Just like the varsity team Friday, the Patriot reserves couldn’t keep the Vikings out of the end zone.
Jay County High School’s junior varsity football team lost to the Huntington North Vikings on Tuesday, 42-0.
Huntington North scored 14 points in each of the first two quarters for a 28-0 lead at intermission. After halftime, they scored one touchdown in each of the third and fourth quarters as well.
Peyton James had eight tackles for Jay County (0-2), and Peyton Bennett had a pair of stops in the backfield. Brady Davis also had two tackles for loss.
JC shut out Tigers
BLUFFTON — Jay County’s seventh grade middle school football team moved to 1-1 on the season with a 28-0 drubbing of the Bluffton Tigers.
Ben Crouch had a pair of touchdowns for Jay County. Sean Bailey and AJ Myers both found the end zone once as well.
Defensively, James Brunswick and Holdin Myers each had a pair of sacks.
