Wildflower safari is set for Wednesday

Take a stroll through the flowers.

Limberlost State Historic Site will host its Autumn Loblolly Wildflower Safari at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Loblolly Marsh Nature Proeserve.

Visitors will join a Limberlost naturalist for a stroll along the Loblolly trails to see early autumn wildflowers in bloom. The naturalist will discuss how humans and animals use the plants.

The fee is $4 for Limberlost members and $5 for non-members.

Participants should meet at the Loblolly preserve parking lot at 8323 N. 250 West, rural Bryant.



Workshop scheduled

Darke County Genealogy will host its fall workshop at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 5 at Garst Museum, 205 N. Broadway, Greenville, Ohio.

Dana Palmer will be the featured speaker for the event. Discussions will include using ancestor.com, using Fold 3 for military research, reading German handwriting and Ohio genealogy.

The registration fee is $20 for those who sign up before Sept. 25, or $25 at the door. For more information, email [email protected].



Concert set

Swiss Village will host EZ & Company in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The group, based out of Lima, Ohio, performs gospel music. The event is free and open to the public.
