B.A.M in Jay set for Monday

Have a meal Monday on LifeStream.

LifeStream Services will host Beyond a Meal at 11:15 a.m. Monday at Jay Community Center in Portland.

The Beyond a Meal (B.A.M.) event offers the opportunity for community members to have lunch at a LifeStream cafe and learn about the organization’s programs and events. The event will provide information about nutrition and wellness programs, volunteer opportunities, resources and in-home services.

Car show set

Arthur & Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion in Berne will host a Classic Car Show from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 23 as part of its Active Aging Week events.

Other events during Active Aging Week include a train depot tour Sept. 24, water aerobics classes, yoga classes and a tour of the National Model Aviation Museum on Sept. 26.



Holding camp

Camp Hope, a day camp for grieving children and their families, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 21 at C&C Bible Fellowship in Berne.

The camp utilizes a variety of activities to teach skills for coping with grief. For more information, call (900) 355-2817. The deadline to register is Sept. 14.

Ivy Tech?Community College in Muncie will hold express enrollment sessions from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 12, 19 and 26. Students can receive help with admissions, orientation, testing, financial aid and registering for classes.
