Felony arrests
Burglary
An 18-year-old was arrested early today on a preliminary charge of burglary, a Level 5 felony.
Eric Ray Steele, whose last address is the homeless shelter in Portland, was arrested by Portland police after he and a juvenile allegedly tried to break into a change machine at the laundromat in the east 100 block of Votaw Street. The juvenile was also arrested.
Steele is being held in Jay County Jail on $11,500 bond. He also faces a charge of resisting an officer.
