Twilight event set for Saturday

Visit the preserve at twilight.

Limberlost State Historic Site will host a Twilight Adventure from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Loblolly Marsh Nature Preserve.

Participants will join Limberlost naturalists on a twilight hike to see fall wildflowers and learn about creatures that roam the swamp after the sun goes down. After sunset, there will be a wildlife program at Loblolly Pavilion followed by using bionic ears and night-vision equipment, a craft and a campfire.

The fee is $3 for adults and $2 for children who are members of Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites. There is an additional $1 charge for non-members.



To perform

The Lost Bayou Ramblers will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Sept. 27 at Canaan Commons, downtown Muncie, as part of the Muncie Three Trails Music Series.

The Ramblers, who were formed in 1999, are rooted in Cajun tradition. They have put out eight albums and earned a Grammy nomination.

Ivy Tech Community College in Muncie will hold express enrollment sessions from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 19 and 26. Students can receive help with admissions, orientation, testing, financial aid and registering for classes.
