Express event is Saturday

Ivy Tech Community College will hold an Express Enrollment Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The event will help students with the enrollment process, including assessment requirements, meeting with an advisor and registering for classes.

In-person and virtual options are available. Those attending in person will be required to wear a mask.

Cheerleaders set

Jay County High School recently held tryouts for its 2020-21 cheerleading squad.

Cheerleaders for the coming school year will be Mattie Ardizzone, Sidney Campbell, Chalista Conn, Mady Fraley, Cash Hollowell, Karci Hopkins, Mariana Lopez, Kaden Norris, Erin Ring, Kenzie Ring, Maddy Rinker, Lilly Rogers and Maddison Wenk.



Programs available

The Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Indiana is offering educational programs and caregiver support groups online and by phone.

Programs this month include help with dealing with dementia, legal and financial planning, effective communication and warning signs of Alzheimer’s Disease. All programs are free.

LifeStream has launched its Friendly Caller Program for older adults who are experiencing loneliness and isolation during the coronavirus pandemic.

Volunteers are matched with older adults to provide conversation. Those interested in volunteering can visit lifestreaminc.org/support/volunteer.
