Eric L. Phillips, 943 W. High St., Portland, pleaded guilty to battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor — He was sentenced to 150 days in Jay County Jail and given 114 days credit for 57 days served. He was assessed court costs of $185.

Preston M. Gillum, 25, 1113 N. Franklin St., Portland, pleaded guilty to resisting law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor — He was sentenced to 365 days in Jay County Jail with all but 104 days suspended and given 104 days credit for 52 days served. He was placed on formal probation for 261 days and assessed court costs of $185.
