Battery
Joshua J. Zimmerman, 38, 370 S. Union St., Pennville, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail with all but two days suspended and given two days credit for one day served. As part of his plea agreement, charges of domestic battery and strangulation were dismissed. He was placed on probation for one year, fined $100, assessed court costs of $185 and ordered to pay a domestic violence and treatment fee of $50.
Derrick J. Taylor, 30, 27 W. Logan St., Redkey, pleaded guilty to battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor. He was sentenced to one year in jail with all but two days suspended and given two days credit for one day served. As part of his plea agreement, a second charge of battery resulting in bodily injury was dropped. He was placed on probation for one year and assessed court costs of $185.
Refusal to identify
Seth N. Mills, 23, 5739 E. 400 South, Portland, pleaded guilty to refusal to identify self, a Class C misdemeanor, and was sentenced to 30 days in Jay County Jail and given six days credit for three days served. He was assessed court costs of $185.
Theft
Alissa A. Myers, 209 E. Votaw St., Portland, pleaded guilty to theft, a Class A misdemeanor, and was sentenced to 120 days in Jay County Jail. She was given two days credit for one day served and assessed court costs of $185.
Eric R. Steele, 18, whose last known address was in Portland, pleaded guilty to theft, a Class A misdemeanor. He was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail with all but 60 days suspended and given eight days credit for four days served. He was placed on probation for ten months and assessed court costs of $185.
