Dog hit
A dog was able to run away from the scene after being hit by a Pennville man’s vehicle on Indiana 67 near county road 200 East at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday, according to Jay County Sheriff’s Office.
Gavin M. Corwin, 20, was unable to avoid hitting the dog with his 2013 Chevy Sonic. Damage estimates were between $1,000 and $2,500.
Slide off
A Noblesville man overcorrected his vehicle after drifting into the right shoulder of county road 200 South, causing him to slide off the north side of the road just past its intersection with county road 500 West at 8:48 a.m. Tuesday.
Blake A. McNeely, 25, was driving a 2002 Freightliner FL70 registered to Perfection Distribution, a Fort Wayne company. Damage estimates were between $1,000 and $2,500.
Deer hit
A Portland man was unable to avoid hitting a deer with the vehicle he was driving on Boundary Pike near county road 300 South at 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Philip A. Bentz, 49, was driving a 2004 Pontiac Aztek registered to Rachel A. Bentz, Portland. Damage estimates were between $2,500 and $5,000.
