Whitney Will was only on the floor for 14 minutes.

That was more than enough time for her to make an impact.

The 2017 Fort Recovery High School graduate scored a dozen points in limited action Wednesday for the University of St. Francis women’s basketball team in its 90-43 win over Bethel University.

Will made each of the three field goals she attempted and also went 6-of-7 from the field for the NAIA No. 11 Cougars (18-4). She also had two steals, two rebounds and an assist.

In Saturday’s win over No. 21 Huntington, Will recorded four points and three rebounds.

The junior is averaging 4.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game this season.



Alex Bader

Jay County – 2017


Earned one of three victories for the Ball State University women’s swim team Saturday in its 188.5-110.5 loss to Ohio.

Bader’s win came in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1 minute, 4.53 seconds, ahead of Ohio’s Emilia Lahtinen (1:05.34). She was also the runner-up behind Lahtinen in the 200 breaststroke.

Also competed for the BSU women’s swim team Saturday.

Bader was fourth in both of her events. She posted times of 59.63 in the 100 butterfly and 2:10.12 in the 200 butterfly.

Vormohr also had a fourth-place finish in the 200 backstroke in 2:08.96. She was fifth in the 100 backstroke.



Jocelyn Kaiser

FRHS – 2017


Was one of a dozen Capital University women’s basketball players to score Wednesday in the team’s 91-64 blowout of Muskingum.

Kaiser hit a pair of 3-pointers on the way to her eight-point effort for the Crusaders (10-8). She also had two rebounds, one assist and one block.



Elise Gehle

FRHS – 2019


Ran for the University of St. Francis women’s track team Friday and Saturday at the Tom Hathaway Distance Classic at the University of Indianapolis

Gehle posted a time of 6 minutes, 2.73 seconds, in the mile run for 19th place. She was 20th in the 800 run.



Hanna Ault

Jay County – 2018


Led the Anderson University women’s basketball team in assists Saturday in its 71-38 loss to Transylvania.

Ault dished out three assists to go along with five points and a rebound for the Ravens (6-12). She also had two points in Wednesday’s 55-41 victory over Defiance.

Audrey Guggenbiller

FRHS – 2019


Ran for the Tiffin University women’s track team Friday and Saturday at the Jet’s Pizza Invitational hosted by Saginaw Valley State University.

Will placed 24th for the Dragons in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19 minutes, 36.17 seconds.

Guggenbiller finished with a time of 6:22.88 in the mile run to finish 39th.



Simon Brumfield

Jay County – 2017


Competed for the Wabash College men’s track team Saturday at Wittenberg University.

Brumfield was 26th in the weight throw with a distance of 32 feet, 8.5 inches.



Micaiah Cox

FRHS – 2017


Stated for the Defiance College men’s basketball team Saturday in its 88-76 loss to Hanover.

Cox had two points, one block and one rebound for the Yellow Jackets (10-8). He also scored two points in Wednesday’s 91-85 loss to Anderson.



Robby LeFevre

FRHS – 2019


Ran for the Fordham University men’s track team Friday and Saturday at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic.

LeFevre posted a time of 7.34 seconds to finish 31st in the 60-meter dash. He was also 78th in the 200 dash in 22.62.
